Das Vipassana-Meditationszentrum im Vogtland ist bekannt als Dhamma Dvāra, was „Tor des Dhamma“ bedeutet. Es ist eines von vielen Zentren weltweit, die sich ausschließlich der Lehre der Vipassana-Meditation widmen. Auf 700 Metern Höhe liegt zwischen Karlsruhe und Freiburg die Hohritt, mit herrlichem Blick über das Rheintal. Das ehemalige Hotel wurde am 5. November 2024 erworben, instand gesetzt und für den Kursbetrieb vorbereitet. Erste Kurse finden seit September 2025 statt.

We aim to offer resources to help nurture and sustain a fulfilling and effective meditation practice. Vipassana Courses are given in numerous Meditation Centers and at Non-Center course locations at rented sites. Each location has its own schedule of courses. Ten day non-center courses are frequently held at many locations outside of Centers as they are arranged by local students of Vipassana in those areas. An alphabetical list of worldwide course locations is available as well as a graphical interface of some course locations worldwide and in India and Nepal. The structure and the time-table of the courses across all the Vipassana centers is exactly the same. All the courses are conducted by assistant teachers of Mr. S. N.
