IFP School lance son nouveau MOOC « Transition énergétique : innover pour un avenir bas carbone » qui débute le 18 mars prochain. Jean-Pierre Deflandre, chef de projet, nous en dit plus sur cette nouvelle formation en ligne, gratuite et certifiante, soutenue par Total Foundation et la Fondation Tuck. Pourquoi un nouveau MOOC, après le succès du précédent sur la chaîne Pétrole et gaz ? Les différents programmes master d’IFP School évoluent pour mieux préparer les étudiants à prendre part à la transition énergétique chez leurs futurs employeurs. Ce nouveau MOOC incarne pleinement cette transformation, tout comme le dernier en date intitulé « Mobilité de demain : des technologies durables pour le secteur automobile ». Quels sont les objectifs stratégiques de ce nouveau MOOC ?

Ce MOOC est un énorme pari pédagogique car il couvre un large éventail de sujets. Bien sûr, il ne traite pas de tous les aspects de la transition énergétique ou des mesures d’atténuation et d’adaptation au réchauffement climatique. Nous cherchons avant tout à sensibiliser les étudiants et les jeunes professionnels aux enjeux énergétiques et aux défis techniques qu’ils devront relever pour contribuer à un monde plus durable. Suite au large succès de sa première édition en mars 2019 – 26 000 inscrits issus de 130 pays et de 275 universités et un taux de certification de 20 % - IFP School... L’objectif est de permettre au plus grand nombre de mieux comprendre pourquoi il est important de s’engager dans la transition énergétique, en suivant le scénario 2°C, et quelles innovations nous pouvons mettre en œuvre... Dispensés en anglais, les cours s’échelonneront sur 5 semaines à partir du 27 janvier.

Les inscriptions sont ouvertes jusqu’au 21 février : https://mooc.innovation.ifp-school.com/Minisite/home/22186 Le MOOC aborde les thématiques suivantes : Cette 2e édition conserve ce qui a fait le succès de la première : The second edition of the MOOC "Energy Transition: Innovation towards a low carbon future", which took place from 27 January to 20 March 2020, attracted 11,643 participants from 129 countries. While the global participation is lower than the one of the first edition, this second session gained a higher international standing with hundreds of participants in a larger number of countries from the different... This significantly increase the MOOC visibility.

Moreover, in line with IFP School's strategy, the MOOC has met its goal by mainly reaching young people (18-25 years old) and young professionals (26-35 years old) with respectively 36% and 39% of them... As for the certification rate (i.e. the number of learners who completed the course and met the certification criteria), it is at 24.5%, which is considered very high by experts. In practice, 39% of participants started at least one of the evaluation mini-games and 62% of them completed all the mini-games with a minimum score of 60%. Such a result demonstrates the real interest of the MOOC program content and the willingness of participants to learn about energy transition. IFP School's latest free and certified MOOC, entitled "Energy Transition: Innovating for a Low-Carbon Future", supported by the Total Foundation and the Tuck Foundation, was a great success.
