Parental Control App Kidslox App Store
I downloaded this app a year ago, tried the free version and eventually paid for premium subscription. I was able to successfully restrict access to certain apps, inappropriate content and screentime for my daughters phone very well. I gave for the success of that time. However, we upgraded phones recently and the set up has been so very difficult!! In order to set up premium features it now requires me to download the PC app as well. Well, whatever it tries to download NEVER downloads and stay stuck at 5%.
i have tried downloading again, rebooted, deleted and reinstalled and never manage to finish set up because its get stuck at 5% download. PC app is so irritating. Wish I could do everything thru the phone app like I did before in my initial set up. I tried reaching out for help and haven’t heard back in two days. Didn’t get an auto response acknowledging my email so I’m not sure if anyone will eventually get back to me.*Update* i eventually received a response and they tried getting more info to fix it. Replied back and said that it had been fixed and they released a new ISO version BUT it still doesn’t download past 5%.
I really liked this but I can no longer use my paid subscription and only get watered down features that are hardly helpful on their own. It doesn’t seem a fix is coming before my subscription expires, so I definately won’t be renewing to $50 subcription. We are deeply sorry for the inconveniences you are experiencing. We continue our work on this issue and are trying to fix it as soon as possible. Meanwhile you can continue using Kidslox as previously (all the old features will work even if you haven't set this new premium feature). Please, make sure that you update our support team (support@kidslox.com) on the fact that you didn't manage to set premium and they will get back to you once we have an update.

They were on every waking moment, and i was sick of telling them to do something else... i have been using this for about six months now. Im not someone who uses my phone allot, and am not overly tech savvy.
i was able to install this on both my kids i-pads with no problems. The schedules and modes are perfect. My kids are with grandparents after school for a couple of hours. I didn't want to burden them with taking the games away so they would do their homework. I set it up to work when they are off of school, and then turn off after the bus ride, so they can do homework. When they get done, they text me (text still works) i can check with grandparents, and then turn the apps back on from my phone at work.
It only takes a few seconds. Im still the bad guy..., grandma and grandpa are still the hero. Then when allowed time runs out, the apps shut off, and they go outside because there is nothing else to do. Or i can add time as a reward, or whatever. They fought pretty hard at first to get more time. Now they rarely use it all.
They have just made a new habit of playing outside, or playing games together. I did however have to lock out the TV as well. Pretty easy with our cable box. I have run into a few hiccups, mostly self inflicted, but the support has been fast and great. I recommend giving this a try, it is worth the money to me. Biggest downfall is now I'm always texting back and forth with kids and grandparents after school.
And the apps get put into alphabetical order. I basically told my kids to just deal with it, and i still use my phone less than anyone i know. Thank you very much for your feedback! We are happy to hear that our app works well for you and your family! Regarding the issue with the apps rearrangement, we have a special technical solution which keeps all apps in their original order.
