There are a lot of questions we ask ourselves at Axtone: Can Ax play it live? Do we think people will reach for their phones to try and ID it at a festival or gig? Does the sentiment in the vocal speak to us?

Are the chords emotive and memorable? It’s hard to identify an exact formula but it makes sense to us.
