If you want to work on your master’s degree with us, then at the latest when you enrol you will need to have a recognised first university degree, for example a bachelor’s degree. Our university offers degree programmes taught in German and programmes taught in English. Depending on the degree programme, there are certain requirements you have to fulfil when it comes to your language proficiency. For degree programmes taught in German, you will need to have a level of German proficiency that corresponds to the “Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang” level 2 (DSH-2) or an equivalent certificate. We only accept the following certificates: Completing a bachelor’s degree taught in German or at a German university is not enough to prove your German proficiency. Our faculty offers courses of study in Physics, Meteorology, Geosciences and Geography. You can study Physics in German or English language. The master’s programmes in Meteorology as well as in Earth System Data Science and Remote Sensing are offered in English.
